The topic of fear isn’t explored much in this online entrepreneurial world. We hear about entrepreneurs winning all the time. We’re inundated by motivational quotes and speeches on how to achieve success. But,  hardly do you ever hear much about the biggest emotional hurdle we must all learn to overcome.
FEAR.
Akshay Nanavati is a Marine Corps veteran, adventurer and entrepreneur.
Upon overcoming drug addiction in high school, Akshay enlisted in the United States Marines despite two doctors telling him that boot camp would kill him because of a blood disorder he was born with.
He has since run ultramarathons, climbed mountains in the Himalayas, and skied 350 miles across the world’s second largest icecap. He also spent 7 months in Iraq, where his job was to walk in front of con- voys to find improvised explosive devices.
After the war, he was diagnosed with PTSD and struggled with alcohol until he reached the brink of suici- de. To heal his brain, he spent years studying neuroscience and psychology. This led to the creation of his book “Fearvana: The Revolutionary Science of How to Turn Fear into Health, Wealth and Happiness.”
The Dalai Lama says “Fearvana inspires us to look beyond our own agonizing experiences and find the positive side of our lives.” Seth Godin calls Fearvana “Counterintuitive, practical and potentially life-chan- ging.” Jack Canfield, the coauthor of the #1 New York Times bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul Series and The Success Principles says “Fearvana is without a doubt, one of the few books that really does stand out as a must read book.”
Today, Akshay runs a global business helping people live limitless lifestyles. His work helps fund his non- profit, the Fearvana Foundation.
Akshay has been featured in Forbes, Psychology Today, entrepreneur.com, CNN, Huffington Post, Run- ners World, NBC, Fox and Military Times, among many others.
This was such an enlightening conversation about the topic of fear and one I know you’ll get a lot of value from. Check out the book, “Fearvana” and leave Akshay a review on Amazon.
Then, come back here and leave a comment below sharing your own thoughts on how you’re overcoming fear. Would love to hear from you

We’ve seen podcasting boom over the last couple of years. Many celebrities and professionals from all walks are embracing podcasting as an opportunity to reach another audience. An audience that enjoys the convenience of on-demand radio and an array of niches of talk shows.

Trust me. Nothing goes uncovered in the world of podcasting. If there’s a topic you’re interested in, it’ quite certain there’s a podcast for that interest.  Podcasting is growing and growing every day. Exciting times to plug in (no pun intended) and learn about other benefits we can gain for podcasting.

Ep 89: Podcasting For Hurricane Harvey Relief

Photo: David J Phillip

Hey friend,

This episode is dedicated to all families, personal friends, and co-workers affected by the catastrophic hurricane we recently experienced here in Texas. For those who don’t know, Houston is my home city and I saw firsthand all the destruction caused by the hurricane flooding.

It was heart breaking to watch the news and hear all the stories of families being torn by the flooding. Neighborhoods submerged in water. Families losing their homes. Pets in severe danger. The elderly being rescued. People on top of their roofs. It felt like Armageddon was upon us and we were fighting for a sense of normalcy.

The hurricane is done, but the work to rebuild our cities has just begun. We can’t do this alone and need your help.

Here’s a list of great organizations that are accepting donations.

We’re back!

This episode has been baking in the oven far too long. I apologize for the delay, but I had to deal with mucho technical challenges getting this website up and running again. All that is the past now, we are ready to give you AWESOME content moving forward.

Kickin’ off the freshness is to today’s guest, Matt Miller, founder of School Spirit Vending

This unique concept was inspired by a gum ball machine business. Matt took the vending machine concept and infused it with school fundraising. Are you intrigued yet?

Matt created a business that would help schools do fundraising in a different way. What started off as a side hustle turned into a franchising company with schools all over the country. In this episode, Matt shares with us his story of the “A-ha” moment, his tips on where to start in building a business, and the mindset need to build a profitable stream of income.

We get mad real about entrepreneurship and what the “Hustle” really looks like in the real world. Such a great conversation and I know many of you will enjoy this. Please feel free to drop a comment below and let me know what you think.

Yo!!

It's the last week of July and I decided to rock the mic solo. I'm bringing back the "Monthly Recap" episode. It's been awhile and a lot has happened.

Finding your zone can be very difficult and often times super frustrating. We get caught up chasing idea and idea. Never seeing any results and feeling this deep sense of emptiness. Many folks give up. Some become self-aware and make the important pivot in life.

In the past couple of months, I've taken a deep dive into my journey. Not as a podcaster, but as someone who is trying to figure this whole thing. Searching for high definition. Looking to get in my zone.

In this episode, I share with you what's been going on in my world. The phone call that changed everything for me. My decision to let go of things that weren't adding value to my life. And, I share some big news about the journey I'm about to embark on.

Would love to hear what you think down below. Enjoy this episode and thanks for all your love & support.

Cheers,

Ozeal
