In life, we all face adversities and tragedy. Some never quite make it out that hole of pain and sorrow. While others find a way to cope with the pain and create an opportunity to inspire others.

In today’s episode, I spoke with the man behind The Legendary Life podcast, Ted Ryce. Ted experienced tragic losses and set-backs in his life. He had to rebuild his life after experiencing so much heartbreak and transform himself into helping others create a legendary life.

He helps people master their lives through health/fitness,nutrition, productivity and communication. I heard he give an inspiring talk at a conference I attended last year, so I had to invite him to the No Permission needed show.

In this episode, you’ll learn

  • Tips on how to sleep better
  • Tips on nutrition and how to develop better eating habits
  • Over coming adversities
  • How to achieve your peak performance level
  • And much more……

As a creative, I’ve experienced many phases of my passion for entrepreneurship/business. In my early music career, I discovered my love for marketing, branding, and putting together live events. I was satisfied with simply creating music, I wanted to study great marketing tactics and start my own music movement with other local bands. That’s why it’s no surprise I ended up here;)

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” Steve Jobs

In today’s episode, I chatted with fellow creative, Wes Eisenhauer. Wes and I have many things in common which is why I enjoyed this conversation. From having a successful, independent music career to discovering his love for photography, Wes is a creative who embraced the journey as a professional artist.  Giving himself permission to launch his photography business while indulging in other passion projects. He credits his success to being open to the pivotal moments and having a great support system.

I believe you will dig this episode. Wes is a bonafide creative that simply did the work and shared it with the world. As he mentions in this episode, just do what makes you happy and the money will follow. Enjoy!

Our guest today is the epitome of a creative entrepreneur.  A true craftsman that defines the possibility of building a bridge between art and commerce. And guess what? He started building his empire way before social media became “a thing.”

DJ Sun is a bonafide renaissance man. He’s an accomplished DJ, producer, radio host, and owner of a business, The Flat, which is one of my favorite venues in Houston. He inspires me as a creative with his positive vibes and hard work ethic. Never looking anything as a failure but as a learning experience.

In this episode, you’ll learn

  • How to turn failure into a success
  • Business lessons learned from Dj’in

Do you have a side hustle? Ever thought about starting one? I’m a big fan of the side hustle for many reasons. I’ve always had side hustles. Everything from selling break dance video during my teenage entrepreneurial years to bar tending special events. The side hustle got me out of debt a couple years ago which is why I highly encourage people to experiment with various ways to make money.

Today, I connected with the man behind “Side Hustle Nation” — Nick Loper.  Nick gives us great insight on the art of the side hustle and provides us how to get started making money on the side. Whether your side hustle becomes your primary business or simply becomes the means of gaining extra income to pay off debt, new car, etc. This is absolutely a great way to learn about entrepreneurship, money, and starting a business.

Hope you get a lot of value from this episode. I’m sure you will. Feel free to drop me a comment below or if you have a question for Nick. Please drop a comment below.
