Ever traveled and needed a local friend to show you around? A real, trust-worthy local to take you to all the best spots in the city?

Super inspirational, very insightful, and he definitely knows the ins-and-outs of the startup hustle. From running out of money to finding his sweet spot with Localeur.  This interview is pretty awesome.

Ep 6: How To Become An Abundant Artist with Cory Huff

I have one mission here. Debunking the myth of the “starving” artist. I mean, let’s be real. Don’t we all struggle in our hustle to become who we desire to be? Now, flipping the coin, I do meet many creatives that refuse to embrace the business side of art. The purists. The hard core artsy folks that want to be “real” to their art. I get it.  But, what if it doesn’t have to be that way. What if you can create your own art and also be abundant? Now that sounds sexy right?

In today’s episode, I chatted with Cory Huff of The Abundant Artist.com His vision is helping artists sell, market, and go PRO in their artistic endeavors. As a creative, I was excited to discuss solutions (not struggles) in helping our community of creatives reach a higher potential through business.

In this episode, you’ll discover

  • How treating your side hustle as a job can benefit you
  • Successful habits/ideas for artists (painters, musicians, etc)
  • The importance of building your own platform
  • Where and how to price your art
  • Why you should start crafting your story

Ep 4: On Being The Unmistakable Creative

Have you wondered if your work is unmistakable?

In this episode, I had a profound conversation with writer/podcast host of the Unmistakable Creative podcast, Srini Rao.  He has interviewed over five hundred of the most interesting people ranging from famous cartoonists to ex-cons. His prolificacy as writer garnered the attention of big media companies such as USA Today, Wall street Journal, and landed him a two book deal with a major publishing company.

I have been a big fan of Srini’s body of work simply because I’ve seen the evolution of a creative devoted to his hustle & craft. From re-branding his vision to mastering his style of interviewing, Srini has found his unmistakable stamp on the world.

This is a deep conversation about finding clarity, detaching yourself from the need of validation, and creating your unmistakable voice.

In this episode, you’ll learn

  • How to let go of the “comparison syndrome”
  • Discovering your self worth
  • Where to find your story?
  • The power of habit
  • How to land a book deal
