Celebrating our 100th episode was awesome and I’m still on high after achieving that big milestone. Thank you once again for being a part of the journey with us on NO Permission Needed.

Now, I’m so pumped up to keep this strong vibe going with episode 101…

As many of you know, I am a creative entrepreneur fighting the good fight of us creatives in this new business economy. Which is why I’m excited to share today’s chat with you. I spoke with a fellow creative entrepreneur, business coach, speaker, and podcaster, Jeffrey Shaw, who is the FREEDOM Fighter for the uncommon entrepreprenur.

From being a timid teenager to becoming one of the most sought after photographers for America’s most affluent families and brands. Jeffrey Shaw discovered his passion for photography which led him down the path of entrepreneurship.

Building a successful photography business and coaching other photographers, Jeffrey quickly discovered he had the ability to help other creatives in different fields create their own freedom through the lessons he learned as a creative entrepreneur.

He’s the host of the podcast show, Creative Warriors, and the author behind his forthcoming book, “LINGO: Discover Your Ideal Customers Secret Language And Make Your Business Iresstible” Jeffrey’s energy and passion can be heard in this conversation. I know you’re going to dig this episode.

In this conversation, you’ll discover

  • The 5 Step Secret Language to better understand your client
  • How to create a better pricing model (Freelancers, this one is for you)
  • How to make your brand iressitable
  • How to leverage social media to build better relationships with your customers
  • And much much more….

We made it 100!

Kind of a big deal in my books, especially since this has been the most devoted I’ve ever been to an online platform. I tried blogging. Failed. I tried doing video. Failed. I tried building a consistent habit on several social media platforms. Nada!

But, podcasting, ah yes, this was love at first mic;)

I’ve had the honor of interviewing some of the most interesting people on this podcast. From magicians to New York Times Best Selling authors, this podcast has given me the perfect platform for me to express myself as a creative entrepreneur and also allow me the opportunity to share valuable content with you.

Your listening attention/ support gives me the fuel to keep pressing record. I want to thank all my previous guests and you for all your love and support. Without you, there’s no podcast. So THANK YOU.

Anyone who has ever produced any form of content knows THIS is not easy. Showing up every day. Creating. Recording. Editing. Sharing. And, the list goes on and on.

But I believe in our mission of No Permission Needed and will continue podcasting for all of those saying YES to the things that light them up.

Cheers to YOU and many more podcast episodes to come.

In this special episode, I wanted to do something different. I wanted this episode to be super casual, fun, and entertaining! I invited two of my friends, Hector Garcia and Common Steve, of Neue Creative, to join us for this milestone episode.

These funny cats are the masterminds behind, Neue Creative, a full-service digital agency based out of Houston, Texas and hosts of my favorite facebook live show, “Something Neue” which can be seen every Weds (7-7:30pm) on their facebook page

WARNING: this episode contains some profanity, extreme randomness, and may disturb the avid wantrepreneurs seeking “actionable” content

However, there are some extremely valuable nuggets on entrepreneurship, branding, FB Live marketing, and other topics I know you’ll dig.

Special thanks to Hector Garcia and Common Steve for opening up their studio to record this episode and for creating the awesome graphic for this episode.

Are you ready for the most chatty conversation thus far?

Good!

Because in this episode, I chat with a good friend of mine, Brian Weber, who is a fellow bartender and podcast host of the show “Bartender Journey”

With over 200 episodes, Brian’s podcast journey is one I’ve been following for quite some time. After discovering this cool thing called “the podcast,” I went on iTunes and searched for one of my passions and discovered the only bartending podcast at that time, yup….The Bartender Journey podcast.  I checked out a few episodes and really enjoyed the content they we serving up.

I reached out to Brian to show him some love and as they say…the rest is history. We’ve been great friends ever since. Staying in touch and I’ve had the honor of being on his podcast twice. Such fun shows.

In this episode, you’ll get two passionate content creators/bartending buddies who love what they do and love to chat! ha! Seriously, this show is different from all the other episodes. Don’t expect tactical tips and tricks for starting an online business on this one, however, Brian does share his perspective on entrepreneurship and content creating. We talk podcasting, apple products, some of the valuable lessons we’ve learned as bartenders and how it applies to this online world, and so on.

Grab a cocktail. Plug in and enjoy this episode with my man…Brian Vincent Weber of The Bartender Journey.

Hello and welcome back!

In today’s episode, I chat with Gelie Akhenbit who is a mother, entrepreneur and founder of Networking Phoenix. In 2008, she turned in her pink slip and left her corporate job to start a new business. Not an easy thing to do, but she had a calling for something more.

We dive deep into Gelie’s story on why she decided to leave her job. The importance of changing your mind set in becoming an entrepreneur and the emotional hurdle she had to overcome.

Since leaving her job, Gelie has launched a successful online platform which is devoted to connecting people on and off line. Helping people to network and build relationships. We’re both on the same mission which is why I’m super excited to share this conversation with you.
