Here’s a fun fact to share with you.

Four years ago, I was over fifteen dollars in consumer debt. Yup! It sucked! I vividly recall the moment when I looked at the balance and told myself “F#&k this! I’m getting out to debt!!” Yes, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. Something had to change and fast.

Enter the world of FREELANCING.

Long story short, I took my skill set of bartending and jumped into the special event industry. Bartending countless private parties, corporate events, and you name it. I was there slinging away cocktails, flexing my love for customer service which resulted in lots of tips;) I saved all my cash and within a year and half……I was DEBT FREEEEE!!!! It CAN be done.

Why am I sharing this? Well, in today’s episode with dive into the world of freelancing. I got connected with Vincent Pugliese through a mutual friend and I’m so grateful we did. Vincent has a story that involves lots of failure, hard lessons learned, and a childhood passion that transformed his life.

From shooting up close and personal Super Bowl events, WWE matches to some of the amazing images you’ll ever see. Vincent and his wife Elizabeth started their business shooting weddings and have had  major success in the freelancing world.

As a creative, I’ve experienced many phases of my passion for entrepreneurship/business. In my early music career, I discovered my love for marketing, branding, and putting together live events. I was satisfied with simply creating music, I wanted to study great marketing tactics and start my own music movement with other local bands. That’s why it’s no surprise I ended up here;)

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” Steve Jobs

In today’s episode, I chatted with fellow creative, Wes Eisenhauer. Wes and I have many things in common which is why I enjoyed this conversation. From having a successful, independent music career to discovering his love for photography, Wes is a creative who embraced the journey as a professional artist.  Giving himself permission to launch his photography business while indulging in other passion projects. He credits his success to being open to the pivotal moments and having a great support system.

I believe you will dig this episode. Wes is a bonafide creative that simply did the work and shared it with the world. As he mentions in this episode, just do what makes you happy and the money will follow. Enjoy!
